Zirconium case

Posted on by

Agnes was in her fourties. She had normal, metal based porcelain crowns on her upper teeth since more than 10 years. The gum was constantly inflammed, discoloured to purple and certainly was bleeding very often. The reason was the irritation of the crown’s metal edge and the accumulation of the tartar. The first step was the tartar removal, the professional oral hygiene treatment. Then we removed the old crowns and she got a plastic temporary for a week. During this week the inflammation stopped and the gum got back it’s natural healthy pink colour. Only after this we did the preparation and impressionwork for the new crowns. To the upper and lower she got full set of Zirconium crowns and we could keep up the healthy gum.
